But whom do you approach? The Head Teacher? Another staff member? For some good advice, written by Scottish headteachers and others who know Scottish schools well, go to
- What could you offer that the school would find helpful? Again, the Serve Your Local School site really is the best place to go. Also, have a look at the CVE Case Studies for examples of how churches have supported local schools (e.g. "Look into the Soup Pot", "It's Free - Bible Resources" and "Bringing the Bible Alive in Primary schools")
- If you're a church member wanting to motivate fellow members and understand what might be possible, go to http://www.syls.org.uk/get-started/a-church-audit.html This provides a really good Church Audit Tool which will help you develop your approach further. There are also some good ideas in the Case Studies in “It’s Happening!” on this website.
